Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Engagement // Berenice + Julian // Plano, TX

I am LOVE with this Arbor Hills Nature Preserve engagement session! Berenice + Julian had the most spontaneous and romantic adventure. We weren’t expecting rain, but we just went with it and it was magical!! The golden hour mixed with rain and champaigne… ah it doesn’t get better than this! This session gave me some serious The Notebook vibes! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this fall! Here’s a little about these lovebirds!

How they met

“We met through a mutual friend. They were at a party. My friend knew that neither of us wanted to date anyone, but she insisted on setting us up on a blind date. I thought “fine, at least I’ll get a free meal out of it.” Haha! Plus, I was leaving back to school in two weeks. I didn’t think he’d want to continue pursuing me. Julian picked me up for dinner and we went to Texas Roadhouse. He was the most chivalrous guy I had EVER gone on a date with! I was immediately in awe of him.

After dinner ended, he asked if I wanted to hang out with him for a little bit longer. We went for a walk at a park and hung out for 5 hours! I saw him every single day until I had to leave for college. He actually helped me move in to my apartment. Every Wednesday he would come visit me after work. The commute, normally 45 minutes would end up being 2 hours because it was during rush hour. One summer he didn’t have AC and still made the drive! I will always cherish him choosing to take that drive to come see me!”
